Civil Litigation Timeline Worksheet (from Pre-Action to Disclosure)
Have a reference for the primary stages in the lifecycle of a Civil Litigation case and test your knowledge of the CPR with my Civil Litigation Timeline Worksheet.
Use this timeline alongside your prep work on the Bar Course to reinforce your understanding of the main steps in the Civil Litigation process and understand what the next steps for parties are likely to be and which rules they are to comply with to bring or defend a claim.
References to the CPR have been provided to enable you to remember which rules apply at different stages of the timeline.
This timeline can also be used as a revision worksheet as a blank version of the timeline (without CPR references) is provided. You can use a whiteboard and projector, tablet computer, mobile phone or traditional pen and paper to practice your knowledge of the CPR rules.
Starting at Pre-Action, move in a clockwise direction to follow the primary steps in the Civil litigation process. Procedural requirements and relevant applications and orders are placed alongside the different stages to show where in the timeline the rules apply or an application can be made to the court.
Check out the video below for an overview on how to use the timeline in your studies. A more detailed video is included in your download.
